Kathryn passed away on November 10, 2002 in Valencia, California at the age of 81. She was born and raised in Solvay, New York, served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and retired from Carrier Corporation in Syracuse, N.Y. in 1985.

She was married to Vince Meegan for over 54 years. They lived in Liverpool, N.Y. from that time until November, 2002 when they moved to Valencia, California to be near their sons. She loved her sons and was very proud of them and their accomplishments. They all live in California; Gary, of Mountain View, and Brian and Mark, both residents of Valencia.

She and Vince did much traveling during their years together, including Hawaii, Florida, and to their favorite spot - Ocean City, Maryland for a week on the beach every summer. One of her most favorite fun things was square dancing, and traveling to different cities to dance and meet new folks. Houseplants were a favorite passion of hers as was long walks on nice summer evenings along her favorite lake.

Kathryn was very devoted to her four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. The grandkids - Melanie, 8, Jacob, 7, Derek, 3 and her oldest granddaughter, Jessica, 28, and her great-granddaughter Sadie, 9. It was a treasure to watch Kathryn' face light up when she saw the children. That "she will be missed" is an understatement, to say the least.
