I exist therefore I am - says the man
but he's wrong
you can exist and not be
you can be part but not whole
you can concentrate on things
things that glitter and are costly
that you can own

You can call anything yours
but it isn't
if it's not alive then
when you're gone - it will stay
not knowing or caring that you're gone
it it's alive then if there's love it will care
and miss you

So what is best for you
to have glitter or love
you can measure glitter and hold it
in your hands and show it
to the envious
but love - how measured
by look, or touch or just to be

Can you be whole with the glitter
can you be part with glitter
a part of am but not be
can you - with love - be
you can, as long as you'll be missed
give it and take what is given
and you'll exist forever
