It came when least expected
Out of the blue, out of the unknown
It came with life – it came with need

August was a good time - not a time
It was woman - and who was alive
A woman who breathes
The soul of my soul

August was the purple mountain
August was the Shangri La
August was the time when I needed
I needed to go – to go whence

Over the hill and far off
Into the haze – into the mist
Into the far time – the time of my forefathers
The dreamtime of my past
