Jeannette
lost her husband nine years ago, and recently found this poem to
share.
The Lonely Long Years
Nine long years ago today,
Since last I saw your face.
Empty years of longing,
To feel your warm embrace.
To see the
smile that lights your eyes,
And feel your touch once more.
The love that flowed from you to me,
I feel in my heart's core.
No-one else
can take your place.
Our love was strong and deep.
Nine long years ago today,
Was when you fell asleep.
