A True Love Story

By Ruthe
March 2004

Preface

Seniors find love on Writeseniors Web-site

I have been given the pleasure to write my story about two of my dear e-mail friends Gina, and Mark who have fallen in love with each other, we all met and become members at the same time on Write a senior citizen web-site, even though this site is not a dating board my good friends did find one another here, this particular acquaintance has brought this beautiful and lonely couple to a very close relationship, It certainly can happen and it also can happen to any of us without a clue,. their first meeting on a pen-pal web-site has brought about a tremendous love affair, and it did happen to my very close friends. One never knows when a correspondence on a web-site can turn into a true love as this has to these genuine people. Please read my heartfelt story here.

Gina and I met almost 4 years ago on our brand new computers, needless to say we definitely were rookies but our daughters was there beside us and gave us both great tutoring and then found us a wonderful web-site called * Write a senior citizen. This is how our beautiful friendship started. The spotlight page on this web-site pictured the both of us, and of course I thought Gina looked just like Ava Gardner the movie star, and how beautiful both these ladies are, I was ecstatic when I received my first e-mail from her, and today and after our several years of corresponding she's still so very close in my heart and as pretty on the inside as she is in her picture---- we have never quit corresponding to this very day, though we live twenty three hundred miles apart we always feel like we live next door to each other.

We not only are true friends but we have a certain bond between us and we definitely are genuine confidants, we together are constantly telling one another our little dark secrets, we have many laughs over them and we act like teen age high school girls in a overnight sleep over.

A few months back Gina mentioned getting an e-mail from this cool guy, him finding her on this marvelous web-site soon after they both had become members, she didn't offer too much information about him, but said he really excites her, without seeing her I could almost vision her with a pink blushing face while she was typing this to me. I then answered her without mentioning any thing about her cool guy, kinda' waiting to see if she had noticed me not asking questions about her new infatuation, It wasn't long until she was writing the gooey stuff---- I almost envied her but not really, she seemed to be floating on the clouds and not wanting to ever come down. Naturally I thought this infatuation would come to an end but to my surprise it has become a true love since back in 2001---- two wonderful people falling in love, never a day goes by but what he is either e-mailing her or is on the telephone and usually twice a day, him constantly mentioning wanting to get together, down deep in his heart he knows they will eventually, Gina is overwhelmed but is holding back.

Here lately I have often asked her about Mark, she is such an excited senior and acts almost like she can barely wait to get his messages, Of course I have asked her about a marriage, thinking she would say * YES her answer was ---- * OH NO ! ! ! I could never marry again because of my age, naturally I disagreed with her decision mentioning to her that all of her kids would be delighted to know their mother was in love again and a very long and lonely void could now be filled with nothing but love and happiness for their mom in her golden years. Gina is still very hesitant though and knows this will become a big adjustment in reconciling herself to a major change in her life, since being a single mom for so many years it does give her reason to doubt the outcome of an eternal commitment in her life and her age does enter her mind with this great decision to soon make.

This could be a God's gift to both these wonderful people regardless of age, and to know their loneliness will be ended. Deep love is so important in everyone's life and especially in our senior years.

As I finish my story and I'm sure my readers will agree with me that Gina will be so sorry in a few years for letting her age become a factor, and it making this decision for her. Single seniors are to be commended for raising their children without a Dad, Gina has done a magnificent job with her 5 children, and I'm sure they will all wholeheartedly agree that Mom is worthy of a new life, and they know she and Mark will share many great and happy years ahead, and especially in their last * Plateau.

MY Grand Finale---

I must ask my readers, can a person fall in love when the two have never met personally? Gina says *YES, very definitely--- love can come to you without ever meeting * the one you dearly love.

Thank you for reading about a true love between two beautiful seniors perhaps some day soon Gina will say * YES Lets all pray that she will, and not lose out again. Her beloved husband died when their children were very young. She deserves a happy life now. Mark also lost his dear wife in death leaving him to raise their daughter. May God bless Gina and Mark in making the right decision here and if it's to be it will be.

Truly Yours,

Ruthe
