One of the main reasons that technology is so widely embraced throughout the world is that it makes our lives easier. Instead of waiting for a week for your invoice to get from your client to your office, you simply have to check your email. If you want to talk to a friend who's halfway around the world than you can use a service like Skype and it's almost like talking to them in person. But there are always going to be some small glitches with new technologies. If you've ever been a fan of texting than you might have encountered some of the issues that come with auto correct.

Auto correct is when your phone or computer recognizes that a word is not in its dictionary and simply instantly replaces it with the closest match that is a word. This could be useful if you're sending your resume out and want some help checking over all of your spelling. The purpose of this software is that it catches your typos before you've even had the chance to realize that you've made a mistake. But, the problem is that the word that the program assumes is not always correct. In fact, sometimes the corrected word creates and entirely new impression.

There are many websites online that show the funnier side of auto correct choosing the wrong word on people's phones and computers. Someone might be sending an official message to their staff and accidently say something that sounds embarrassing or inappropriate. But, if the person on the other end of the message is not understanding or notice that a mistake has been made than auto correct could get you in a lot of trouble. This is why it is always important to read all of your messages carefully before pushing the send button. This way you will keep from sending something that should be private to your grandchildren or the person who manages your active exchange traded funds.

If you're having a lot of trouble with auto correct on your phone or computer than you are able to turn off this application. All you have to do is go into settings and find the section that deals with spelling and grammar. You might find that if you don't turn this off than it is very difficult to correct a message even if you do notice a mistake. Anyone with a phone can tell you that if it wants to correct a word a certain way the first time it will want to do the same the twentieth time you type it in as well. You are also able to add additional words to your dictionary to keep them from being corrected.
